Summer Institute on the African-Brazilian Experience in Salvador da Bahia
Students will engage in research projects that explore the Africana experience in Brazil. Nearly 40% of African captives European slave trade were destined for Brazil. Today, Brazil has the largest population of African people outside of Africa. Salvador, with a population of three million, has strong African influence, including religious and spiritual practices, cuisine, and ethnic dynamics.

Managing Professional Relationships and Building Successful Business Practices in Healthcare and Fitness in Chile
This two-week program in Santiago is specifically developed for Exercise & Nutritional Sciences (ENS) students and other students of the College of Health and Human Services (HHS). By studying abroad in Chile, HHS students will have a better understanding of the Chilean health care system. Students will discover what distinguishes the Chilean healthcare system from the U.S. healthcare system and allow them to gain new perspectives on nationalized healthcare and near-universal insurance coverage.
