Welcome to the SDSU College of Extended Studies/Advanced Placement Institute Stanford online registration information page. This page features information about upcoming Advanced Placement Institute training programs and registration information.
Courses approved for ED X997 credit are fully reviewed and approved by the faculty of the College of Education. These graduate level courses offered through the College of Extended Studies are designed to meet the needs of educators who wish to develop or continue the study of a current topic. Courses numbered at the 900 level are not designed to be applicable to graduate programs at SDSU but like all transferable credit may, with approval from the receiving institution, be applicable to degrees at that institution.
These courses are also approved for continuing education units (CEUs). One continuing education unit is defined as ten contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction and qualified instruction. The primary purpose of the CEU is to provide a permanent record of the educational accomplishments of an individual who has completed a noncredit educational program. This record can be used to give employers, professional associations and societies a uniform measure of short-term educational programs completed by an individual. CEUs are not academic units and cannot be applied to degree work at institutions of higher education.
