So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable.

— Christopher Reeve

For over 30 years, the San Diego State University Writers’ Conference has been helping writers realize their dreams. Through workshops, 1:1 meetings with top editors and agents, panels of industry experts, and opportunities to network with New York Times bestselling authors, the SDSU Writers’ Conference is an investment in those dreams.

This year, the conference will bring all of the features you’ve come to expect and more, with a new schedule and format. You’ll have opportunities to pitch your work to editors and agents, and front-row seats to hear authors willing to share what they’ve learned along the way. Additionally, you’ll see four tracks of high-caliber information for authors of all levels and interests: The Traditional Publishing track will bring current information on how to break into publishing with a breakout book. The Do It Yourself track will educate writers ready to go it on their own with Indy Publishing must-knows. The Career track will give you the insiders’ view of what it takes to be a successful author, and the Craft track will offer in-depth courses on how to tell an unforgettable story your readers won’t be able to put down.

No matter where you are in your writing journey, the SDSU Writers’ Conference has the tools you’ll need to reach the next stage.

The 2019 Writers’ Conference is less than 300 days away … at one page a day, you could be finished with that work-in-progress. So, get to work and get ready for the conference that could change your life!

We’ll see you in January 2019.
