Farouk Al-Nasser, Ph.D., is a graduate of Baghdad University, University of Colorado, and University of Denver with B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering respectively. During his 42-year career in the data storage industry, he held technical, operational, marketing, and senior executive management positions at Fortune 500 and mid-size companies. After the 2003 invasion, Farouk spent several months in the Middle East working for a San Diego-based company involved in the reconstruction and development of Iraq. He is on the board of directors and past president of the San Diego World Affairs Council.
