First Graduate Degree in Meeting and Event Management in North America

Are you ready to become a more dynamic leader, empowered by the latest ideas and innovations in the meetings and events industry? Created by the SDSU L. Robert Payne School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, in collaboration with Meeting and Professionals International (MPI), the Master's in Meeting and Event Management program is the first graduate-level program in North America that's designed to elevate meeting professionals to business event strategists.

More Than a Master’s, It’s a Movement

When we meet, we change the world! With the meetings and events industry evolving at a rapid pace, there has never been a more exciting time to advance not just your career, but your profession as a whole.

Deeper analytics and more powerful tools mean greater opportunities to evolve and excel. As the largest global association in the industry, MPI is committed to pioneering continuing education and providing career-enhancing resources. With their help, the Master's in Meeting and Event Management program provides the flexibility you need to take a step forward, without taking one backward.

What Do We Mean by That?

Working professionals all over the country are earning their master’s degrees online with SDSU Global Campus. Embracing the human element of meetings and events, the Master's in Meeting and Event Management program includes two on-campus weeks (one at the beginning of the 21-month program and one at the end) on SDSU’s beautiful campus to help you build lifelong connections with your classmates and instructors. The rest of the program can be completed entirely online.

Work on your own schedule, connect with industry leaders, and shape the future of the meeting and event planning — all while earning your master’s degree.

A Curriculum for Career Success
