Dari DeSousa is a long time Hospitality Human Resources Professional. She works for Marriott International and is based in San Diego as a Senior Work Environment Manager addressing workplace issues in the San Diego and the California Desert markets. Her focus areas are: Employee Engagement, Labor Relations and Leadership Development.
Dari is currently the Treasurer of the San Diego Hospitality Human Resources Association where she has been an active Board member since 2007 also having served as Vice President and President.
Dari received Marriott’s Spirit to Serve award in 2007 which recognizes significant efforts dedicated to community service and she is on Marriott’s Children’s Miracle Network Advisory Board representing the San Diego Business Council. Dari received Marriott's Excellence in Leadership award in 2016 which recognizes top HR Talent for innovative work.
Dari is currently teaching Talent Acquisition and Capstone as a part of the SDSU CES Human Resources Certificate Program which is a program she completed in 1998 as a student.

Dawn Myers heads up the HR Department of the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter. She has been with Stanford Hotels since her hire in 2002.
A 20-year veteran in the human resources field, Myers has hotel, non-profit and retail experience. One of her career highlights was her success in facilitating the placement of Clarion associates in positions at other downtown hotels by coordinating a job fair that schooled the associates in resume writing and interview finesse prior to the hotel closing for it’s rebuild
In addition to serving on the SDSU Advisory Board, Myers’ serves as the President for the San Diego Hospitality Human Resources Association.
She has been married for 28-never-boring-years and has two grown sons that she adores.
