Sandra teaches lower and upper division undergraduate courses such as Introduction to Hospitality and Tourism Management, Service Leadership Development, and Hospitality Leadership and Self Development. Her research interests include emotional labor, industry professionalization, organizational identity change, and professional identity construction, all in the context of hospitality and tourism workforce development.

She is passionate about assisting students with finding personally meaningful careers in the industry.
