Susan E. Cayleff, Ph.D., is a professor in the Department of Women’s Studies at SDSU where she has taught since 1987. She teaches American women’s history, the history of medicine and sports history, and the uses of biography and autobiography in history. She is the author of six books, one of which, Babe: The Life and Legend of Babe Didrikson Zaharias, was a Pulitzer Prize nominee. She has lectured internationally, published dozens of articles, and is an award winning teacher and social justice activist.
