Dr. LaRee Tracy is a lecturer in the Department of Epidemiology, Graduate School of Public Health. She is also a mathematical statistician working directly in drug development and clinical research. Dr. Tracy earned her Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of Maryland, School of Medicine in 2009 and a Master’s degree in Mathematical Statistics in 2002 from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Dr. Tracy has extensive experience in the design and analysis of clinical trials and observational studies. Her research interests include complex trial design, survival analyses, mathematical modeling of infectious diseases, and statistical aspects of new drug and biologic development. Dr. Tracy worked at the US Food and Drug Administration for over 17 years, where she was heavily involved in new drug approvals. She is also a retired commander in the US Public Health Service.
