WI 0032 Sensory Evaluation
Are you looking to add the skill of Sensory Evaluation to your wine knowledge? Blind tasting involves evaluating a wine without prior knowledge of its identity, such as the grape variety, region, or producer. Students in this class will develop their sensory perception and enhance their ability to identify and analyze different characteristics of wine. Students will concentrate on the building blocks of sight, aroma, and taste while understanding how the outside world affects their sensory perception. Students will review wines from different regions and grape varieties while analyzing the sensory stimuli of their core compounds. After this course, students will have increased their knowledge of wine through group learning and using a systematic method to understand the core components of wine.

MP 0201 Introduction to Special Events
Careful preparation is the key to orchestrating successful special events such as receptions, grand openings, and theme parties. This course will provide you with the basic guidelines and tips you need as you identify the purpose of the event, define the event's format, select a location, and develop event activities. The course covers event planning and management concepts, event themes, and creative idea development techniques.

Note: Students must attend all classes in order to pass the course.

ENGR 0021 Estimating and Bidding I

Students will learn estimating problem-solving in general conditions, civil work, concrete, and masonry (excavation, backfill, grading, paving, landscaping, etc.). Hands-on estimating with quantity take-off, pricing, and bidding is stressed. Uniform cost index categories one-four will be covered.

The CompTIA A+ 220-801 examination measures necessary competencies for an entry-level IT professional. Upon completion of this certificate students will have the knowledge required to assemble components based on customer requirements, install, configure and maintain devices, PCs and software for end users, understand the basics of networking and security/forensics, properly and safely diagnose, resolve and document common hardware and software issues while applying troubleshooting skills. Students will also know how to provide appropriate customer support; understand the basics of virtualization, desktop imaging, and deployment.

Target Audience
Computer technicians who have the equivalent knowledge of at least 12 months of hands-on experience in the lab or field.

CM 0004 Essential Contract Management Techniques
Students will follow the day-to-day management of government and commercial contracts in this course.
