Originally a newspaper reporter, Yadira Galindo has spent more than 20 years working in public relations, where she develops and implements media relations strategies, campaigns, and events. In 2021, Galindo was selected to fill the inaugural role of Director of Communications for the newly established Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and Human Longevity Science at UC San Diego. She is helping define the school’s voice to raise its visibility to internal and external audiences.
