CB 0018 Draught Systems II
This six-session course will go deep into the subjects covered in the Brewers Association Draught Quality Manual, Third Edition. Topics will include safety, equipment installation, system operation analysis, proper use of chemicals, line cleaning and glycol maintenance, cask beer dispensing options, how to dispense specialty beverages, system balance, troubleshooting, and maximizing profits. Several sessions will be held offsite. Several hands-on activities will help students build their skills in draught system operations.
Prerequisite: Exploring Craft Beer and Draught Systems I.

Femineer® Pi Robotics Teacher Training provides teachers with the knowledge and skills to integrate basic engineering skills and creativity into STEM learning, while encouraging female students to pursue engineering majors or careers. This teacher training focuses on the practical and effective uses of engineering in the classroom. Topics include electrical safety, multimeter, introduction to circuits and electronics, Raspberry Pi, Scratch programming, controlling LEDs and servo motors, using ultrasonic sensors, and Raspberry Pi computing with Python.

PSY 0050 Fundamentals of Forensic Psychology
The course is intended to introduce students to the wide-range field of forensic psychology and is designed to consider the relationship between psychology and law by showing how psychological research and theory can inform the legal process. This course will examine the position and responsibilities of forensic psychologists in police work, criminal investigation, investigate behavioral analysis, threat assessment, eyewitness identification, school bullying, mental defenses and competency issues, sexual abuse issues, juvenile forensics and death penalty cases, and jury selection.

PSY 0051 Mental Health and Criminal Justice
This course provides an overview of psychological disorders across a lifespan, including their diagnosis, etiology, and treatment. This course will emphasize empirical research methods and findings, although case examples and general theoretical perspectives as a base. A combination of lecture, class discussion, and video will be used.

P A 0496.11 Global Foundations of Restorative Principles and Trauma Informed Care
This course will focus on the history, concepts, principles, and theory of Eastern and Western approaches to restorative practices, and give an overview of the main restorative tools including community building circles and restorative somatic practices. The courses will compare retributive and restorative ways of working and help professionals develop a trauma informed lens in working with clients and self. Special attention is paid to psychological and somatic effects of harm, shame, and reconcilliation. Interactive skill building activities will include practicing non-violent communication, building consensus and empathy, and emotional regulation.
