MP 0104 Site Selection and Contract Negotiation
Selecting a location is a complicated process involving more than just booking rooms or choosing menus. This course will cover how to make that initial contact with a site, write and evaluate an RFP, negotiate terms of the agreement, and identify key elements of a productive decision-making site inspection. It also will cover how to contract with a site, handle cancellations, address attrition, and recognize relevant important contract clauses. Included in this course is a field trip or virtual site inspection with a hotel to conduct a site inspection and a mock negotiation.

The CompTIA A+ 220-801 examination measures necessary competencies for an entry-level IT professional. Upon completion of this certificate students will have the knowledge required to assemble components based on customer requirements, install, configure and maintain devices, PCs and software for end users, understand the basics of networking and security/forensics, properly and safely diagnose, resolve and document common hardware and software issues while applying troubleshooting skills. This course features hands-on estimating and quantity take off activities associated with civil and site work construction projects. Topics will include estimate formats, drawings and specifications, productivity, site investigations, soil characteristics, blueprint reading, quantities, measurement and costing. CM 0005 Effective Proposal Writing and Communication
This course will focus on writing effective proposals (cost and business volumes) and other communication topics encountered in the contracting environment. Topics will include effective solicitation review, proposal writing strategies and techniques, proposal review scenarios, and appropriate communication methods for various proposal and contractual situations. A number of case studies and hands-on exercises involving verbal and written communication scenarios will be utilized to emphasize key concepts.
